Effective October 1, 2009:


Colin Chickles has been named portfolio manager of Fidelity Southeast Asia Fund, succeeding Jess Tan, who will continue to manage retail and institutional equity portfolios available exclusively to overseas investors. Chickles has followed emerging markets equities as a portfolio manager and analyst since joining Fidelity in 1996. From 1996 to 1999, he conducted quantitative asset allocation research on emerging markets and other international equities before moving to Hong Kong in 1999 to follow emerging markets companies exclusively using both quantitative and fundamental research. Chickles joined Fidelity’s Boston-based emerging markets group in 2001, and assumed responsibility for fundamental research on emerging markets financial, real estate and small-capitalization stocks. From 2008 through August 2009, he co-managed Fidelity Series Emerging Markets Fund. Prior to joining Fidelity, Chickles was an engineer and scientist for McDonnell Douglas Space Systems Company, where he was part of the team working on the NASA Space Station project.
